GlobalEd’s Study Abroad: Seville Program offers you the opportunity to live and study in Seville, Spain for semester. As a full-time student, you will live in an apartment with other international students or may choose to live with a Spanish family. You will have the option to take University courses in English or Spanish at either the University of Seville or University Pablo de Olavide to satisfy home school credits. Our career preparation training will provide you with the tools and skills need to articulate your study abroad experience in a resume and use it to dominate your interviews as you launch your career.


The University of Seville, founded in 1551, is one of the oldest universities in Spain. It is a state institution under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education and one of the largest universities in Spain with over 70,000 students. Whether your interests are games, sports, music, theater or film, the University of Seville coordinates several activities from dance and theatrical clubs, creative writing groups and competitive sports events such as men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball and basketball.

The University Pablo de Olavide (UPO) is a fully accredited, state-run institution located in Seville, Spain that is recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education as a degree granting institution of higher learning. With over 8000 students and more than 1500 international students, UPO offers a international campus atmosphere similar to many U.S. university campuses. Offering courses in both Spanish and English, as international students you will have a wide range of courses to choose from.


As a student you will have different housing options to choose from to match your lifestyle. From self-catered apartments to living with a Spanish family and receiving three meals per day all students will live within a 10-20 minute walk from campus.


You will also have access to cultural activities such as walking tours of the city, visiting monuments, and joining excursions that will allow you to meet locals and other international students from around the world. As a student you will draw from a stipend which will provide you with the flexibility to take trips to destinations like Granada, Córdoba, Lagos, Portugal and even Morocco.


The calendar of activities will be posted at the beginning of each term. Activities will vary depending on the time of year.

A travel stipend will be awarded to program participants which can be used to select from various programmed day trip and overnight excursions. Examples of such excursions are:

  • Lagos, Portugal
  • Morocco


The effectiveness of your ability to articulate your experience abroad in a resume and interview will have a profound impact on your employability. GlobalEd provides cultural training to prepare you for your immersion experience and provides you with a framework for understanding and analyzing different cultural values. You will also receive Myers-Briggs training to gain an in-depth understanding of your own personality and be able to explain why people act and think the way they do. Our ongoing coaching throughout your session abroad will help you contextualize your experiences in a positive and productive manner. And finally, you will learn how to put all of this into a resume and use it to dominate your interviews for the first years of your career.
